Our Story
Founded by engineers from the University of Pennsylvania and based in Philadelphia, PA, we started Tau Labs because we saw a gap in the market. While large tech companies were shipping incredible voice-enabled devices, smaller product teams struggled to execute. The challenge wasn't just the AI—it was the supply chain, the firmware stability, and the factory integration.
We believe that conversational AI belongs in toys, tools, appliances, and robots. But it requires more than just code. It requires a partner who understands the entire lifecycle—from the first prototype to the final assembly line. We bring that certainty to teams of all sizes.
